THE STUDIO MIDORI STORY
Our journey began with a simple love for matcha and a desire to share it with others. But we soon realized that not everyone saw matcha the way we did. Some found it too bitter, others described it as grassy, and many had yet to discover what made it special.
We wanted to show them that matcha is more than just one flavor. Different cultivars bring different personalities to every cup โ from delicate and mellow to rich, savory, and deeply umami. There is so much to explore, and perhaps, a matcha for everyone.
As our curiosity grew, so did our appreciation for Japanese tea. We discovered hojicha, with its distinct roasted aroma, warm character, and comforting flavor. It reminded us that tea doesn't have to be experienced just one way.
And so, Studio Midori was born: a small, homegrown matcha and hojicha bar in Abra, built on curiosity, careful preparation, and the joy of sharing what we love.
We may have started by making drinks for ourselves, but now we hope to help others find their own favorites, one cup at a time.
